On The Horizon: The 2005 A6 Heralding the future of Audi, the 2005 A6 luxury sedan is already thrilling audiences and receiving critical accolades for its bold new look, superior driving dynamics, and state-of-the-art technology.

Top of mind for Audi enthusiasts following its triumphant North American debut at the New York Auto Show, the 2005 A6 leaps forward on every front. The bold trapezoidal single-frame grille immediately distinguishes the vehicle, and serves as a commanding reminder of Audi's leading edge innovations. This beautiful sleek vision continues inside the car, in a sumptuous, brilliantly ergonomic interior. New features for 2005 include the revolutionary Multi Media Interface, the superbly intuitive control system that premiered in the 2004 A8 L, and a longer wheel base for greater driver and passenger comfort.

Performance enthusiasts are equally awestruck at the A6s under-the-hood components, and can choose between two outstanding engines. The powerful 4.2 liter V8 that debuted in the 2004 S4 has been retuned and updated for the new A6. There's also a new V6 in the A6 3.2 with Audi's race-bred FSI(r) direct fuel injection technology. Developed for the Audi R8 racecar, FSI(r) delivers higher torque and power output combined with lower fuel consumption. Both engines will be available with Audi's legendary quattro all-wheel drive and multitronic(TM) Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
